Toy Bank Campaign Aims to Bring Smiles to Paraguayan Children

In anticipation of Children's Day celebrations, Paraguay's Ministry of Children and Adolescents (MINNA) is actively running its traditional 'Toy Bank' campaign throughout August. This heartwarming initiative seeks to collect new or gently used toys, board games, and books to bring smiles to thousands of children facing difficult circumstances across the country.

MINNA is specifically requesting items like dolls, toy cars, balls, board games, and storybooks. However, they are explicitly excluding any items that promote violence, such as plastic weapons or war-themed toys. The goal is to provide gifts that foster joy and positive play for children in various settings.

The distributed donations will reach children in public hospitals, protection homes, indigenous communities in the Chaco and Eastern regions, and care spaces in peripheral urban areas. To facilitate contributions, MINNA has established numerous collection points. These include the ministry's headquarters in Asunción, major shopping centers like Century Plaza, San Lorenzo, Pinedo, and Salemma in the Greater Asunción and Central regions, as well as Punto Farma branches nationwide and MINNA regional offices.
