Toyota Crown Crossover facelift opens for pre-orders in Taiwan with familiar pricing

Toyota's Crown Crossover is set to receive a facelift, with pre-orders now open at dealerships in Taiwan. While the official launch is anticipated in mid-September, the updated model has already made its debut in the U.S. as a new model year. The Taiwanese market will see the Crown Crossover continue with its existing two-trim lineup, starting at NT$1.57 million, though final pricing details are pending confirmation from the general agent, Hotai Motor.

Externally, the facelifted Crown Crossover boasts a redesigned rear end, aiming for a wider and more stable appearance. The popular Two-Tone paint scheme has also been updated, with the upper section of the car now featuring gloss black paint. This complements the gloss black finish on the hood, front bumper, side mirrors, and body trim, creating a more cohesive and striking visual effect.

Under the hood, the updated Crown Crossover will offer two hybrid powertrain options. The 2.5-liter Hybrid system, shared with the sixth-generation RAV4, has been enhanced with the latest fifth-generation THS technology for improved fuel efficiency. For those seeking more power, a 2.4-liter turbocharged hybrid system is available, delivering a combined output of 348 horsepower.

Adding to the driving experience, the facelifted Crown Crossover now includes paddle shifters, allowing drivers to manually control gear selection. Specific equipment details for the Taiwanese market will be announced by Hotai Motor.
