Traffic control planned for Jakarta's GBK complex during weekend events

Jakarta's Department of Transportation is implementing traffic control measures around the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex for a busy weekend of events. From June 6-7, 2026, the area will host concerts by K-pop group EXO and Indonesian singer Raisa, alongside various sports competitions and festivals.

Authorities anticipate a significant influx of attendees, with an estimated 37,800 visitors on Saturday and 43,000 on Sunday. To manage the expected crowds and ensure smooth traffic flow, the department has deployed personnel for traffic regulation and parking oversight. They will also coordinate closely with police and event organizers.

The traffic management will be adjusted based on real-time conditions. The department aims to maintain vehicle mobility and ensure the safety of all road users throughout the weekend's activities. The events include EXO's "Planet #6 ExhOrizon in Jakarta" at the Indonesia Arena, Raisa's "Love & Let Go" concert at JICC Plenary Hall, and the Polytron Indonesia Open 2026 at Istora Senayan, among others.
