Traffic Lights Out at Several Vilnius Intersections Due to Electrical Fault

Drivers in Vilnius are being alerted to significant traffic disruptions as several key intersections are currently operating without functioning traffic lights. The issue stems from an electrical malfunction, according to information provided by "Judu," the city's public transport and infrastructure authority.

The affected intersections are spread across the city, impacting major thoroughfares. Among those experiencing outages are junctions involving Darius ir Girėno Street with Šaltkalvių Street and Pelesos Street, the intersection of Kauno Street and Algirdo Street, Pamėnkalnio Street and V. Kudirkos Street, Konstitucijos Avenue and Lietuvos Statutų Street, and the complex junction of Geležinkelio, Aušros Vartų, and Liepkalnio Streets.

In light of these non-operational traffic signals, "Judu" is strongly advising all drivers to proceed with extreme caution. Motorists are urged to pay close attention to road signs, which are now the primary means of traffic control at these locations. Furthermore, drivers are reminded of their obligation to yield to pedestrians who may be crossing.
