Troops rescue kidnapped victims, foil terrorist attacks in Kaduna, Sokoto

The rescued victim was subsequently reunited with his family.

In a separate operation on 21 August 2026, troops of Sector 2, working in conjunction with local security elements, responded to a terrorist attack on Kwaren Gamba Village in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State. Troops engaged the terrorists and forced them to withdraw in disarray. During the subsequent pursuit of the fleeing terrorists, one terrorist was neutralized, while troops recovered 2 mobile phones, cash, an ATM card, recharge cards and other items from the scene.

Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the Media Information Officer, announced these successes.
