Truck Crushes Motorcycle, Killing Family of Three in Bangladesh

A family's journey ended tragically on Friday night when a truck collided with their motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of three members, including a two-year-old child. The devastating accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the Domra area of Khulna's Dighalia upazila.

The victims were identified as Farzana Khatun, 35, her two-year-old daughter Maymuna, and Farzana's 16-year-old sister, Rubiya Khatun. They were traveling from Gazirhat towards Rupsha when the collision took place.

Sihab Sheikh, 40, the husband of Farzana and father of Maymuna, was riding the motorcycle. He survived the crash but sustained critical injuries. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

According to Dighalia Police Station's Officer-in-Charge Md Shah Alom, the truck was traveling from Gazirhat to Rupsha. He stated that the accident happened as both vehicles were reportedly trying to give way to each other. The motorcycle was crushed under the truck, leading to the immediate deaths of the three passengers. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
