Truck overturns on expressway, driver rescued from cabin

A truck driver was rescued after being trapped in his cabin following a rollover accident on the La Son-Hoa Lien expressway in Hue, Vietnam. Rescue forces worked quickly to cut through the vehicle's structure to free the injured driver.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on June 15, near Km9 of the expressway in Hung Loc commune. The truck, traveling from Da Nang to Hue, reportedly veered left, collided with a guardrail, and overturned. The driver, identified as N.N.T, 33, from Da Nang, sustained injuries to his left leg and was unable to exit the cabin.

Upon receiving the report, emergency services, including units from Zone 7 and Zone 3 of the Firefighting and Rescue Police, were dispatched to the scene. Using specialized equipment, rescue personnel cut away the cabin structure. By 5:43 a.m., the driver was safely extricated and handed over to medical personnel for treatment.

The truck sustained significant damage in the accident. Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the incident. By noon on the same day, traffic flow on the expressway had returned to normal.
