In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump expressed gratitude to those who contributed to the tournament's success. He specifically commended FIFA President Gianni Infantino, describing him as "fantastic" for his work in elevating the World Cup to a level previously thought impossible. Trump also congratulated Andrew Giuliani, the White House liaison for the World Cup.

The close relationship between Trump and Infantino drew attention during the tournament, notably when Trump acknowledged contacting the FIFA president regarding a red card suspension for U.S. player Folarin Balogun. Trump and Infantino were present at the final match, where they presented the World Cup trophy to the victorious Spanish team after their 1-0 win over Argentina.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum also celebrated the World Cup's success, congratulating Spain on their victory and Mexico for being an "excellent host." She emphasized that the joint hosting effort demonstrated the capability of Mexico, the United States, and Canada to achieve significant projects when working together.
