Trump dismisses NYC mayor's threat to arrest Netanyahu

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly dismissed the notion that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could be arrested in New York. This statement comes after reports that New York City Mayor Eric Adams is exploring the possibility of detaining Netanyahu should he visit the city for the UN General Assembly in September.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in 2024, citing accusations of war crimes and crimes against humanity related to Israel's offensive in Gaza. The offensive began after Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023.
