Trump Open to Cuba Attack Over 'Iranian Drones,' Cites 50,000 Troops in Middle East

U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated a potential willingness to open a second military front, suggesting a possible strike on Cuba if "Iranian drones" are confirmed to be present on the island. Responding to a journalist's question about concerns over Iranian drones in Cuba, Trump stated, "If they have something like that, and very likely they do, we will take care of it. Marco [Rubio] is in the other room right now. And if they have it, we will sort it out immediately. We will not have a problem… We will not allow that to happen."

Trump's remarks have been met with skepticism by some media outlets, questioning if this is another pretext for military action against Cuba. The President's comments come amid heightened U.S. military activity in the Middle East, where the U.S. has reportedly struck Iran for three consecutive nights. President Trump is also reportedly considering the destruction of an Iranian nuclear facility.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for attacks on tankers in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, which resulted in one crew member's death and eight injuries. U.S. media reports confirm that President Trump has officially notified Congress of the Pentagon's renewed strikes against Iran, signaling a significant escalation of military operations in the region.

Furthermore, over 50,000 American troops are currently deployed across the Middle East, according to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). This deployment represents the largest U.S. military mobilization in the region since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. CENTCOM emphasizes the readiness and deterrent power of U.S. forces amidst increasing instability in the Middle East.
