Trump Renames Ontario Lake 'America Lake'

U.S. President Donald Trump has followed through on a threat to rename Lake Ontario, located on the border with Canada, to "America Lake." The move mirrors his earlier decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the "American Gulf."

Sitting at the Resolute presidential desk, Trump altered a map of the area near the northern border, crossing out "Ontario" and writing his preferred name. "Now we have a lake, and we have a gulf, because we already have the American Gulf!" he declared.

We love the people of Canada, but their representatives are not doing their job properly," he said. This comes after he imposed 50% tariffs on $20 billion of Canadian imports, including automobiles and agricultural products.

The Canadian government responded with reciprocal measures. Prime Minister Mark Carney described the breakdown in negotiations, affecting all trade relations in the Western Hemisphere, as a "war." He stated, "You are at war when you are attacked. We will strike back."
