U.S. President Donald Trump amplified a video of Spanish football player Ferran Torres wearing a red cap emblazoned with the slogan 'Make Spain Great Again' by reposting it multiple times on his Truth Social platform. The video, a seven-second selfie, was originally shared by Torres on his social media channels during celebrations for Spain's World Cup victory.

This is not the first time the cap has drawn attention from the Trump camp. The White House had previously commented on the footballer's attire, which adapts Trump's iconic political slogan, 'Make America Great Again' (MAGA). A White House post on X stated, "everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon."

Last week, Trump himself acknowledged Torres, calling him a "great player" and referring to the cap as a "nice tribute." The adaptation of Trump's slogan by conservative movements in other countries seeking to emulate his political success has been noted previously.

Torres was a key figure in Spain's World Cup final victory, scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute of extra time to secure a 1-0 win against Argentina, earning Spain its second World Cup title.
