Trump: US Strikes on Iran Honor 3 Fallen Soldiers

The United States carried out its ninth consecutive night of airstrikes against Iran on July 19th, according to U.S. Central Command. The military operations were framed by President Donald Trump as a direct response to honor three American soldiers who were recently killed in attacks attributed to Iran.

U.S. Central Command updated casualty figures, noting that two U.S. soldiers died and one went missing following an Iranian attack in Jordan on July 17th. An additional U.S. service member was killed on July 18th in northern Iraq while attempting to control the detonation of an unexploded drone, an incident that also injured another service member.
