Trust as the system’s glue: Healthcare coordination starts with relationships

The 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz will begin on September 8 with more than 500 sessions, debates, presentations, author meetings and workshops planned over three days.

More than 6,000 guests from politics, business, science and culture are expected to attend. The Health Forum, which has been part of the event for 17 years, will bring together more than 700 experts, policymakers, healthcare leaders, academics, businesses and patient organisations.

This year’s panel, titled “Trust as the system’s glue: Coordination starts with relationships,” starts from a direct question: can trust become a guaranteed healthcare service? Participants will discuss how to build, measure and strengthen trust at every level of the health system.

The forum’s organisers describe trust as the basis of the patient’s relationship with healthcare, cooperation among professionals and the implementation of reforms. It also affects whether patients use available services, follow medical advice and take part in decisions about treatment.

Krzysztof Zdobylak of IFIC Polska will moderate the discussion. The announced participants include representatives of obesity prevention, healthcare employers, a district hospital, an oncology association, a neurocare foundation, the University of Warmia and Mazury, the Zielona Góra healthcare employers’ federation and the ProMEDeus Foundation. The forum will take place in Karpacz from September 8 to 10, 2026.
