Tsai Ing-wen, Lin Yu-ting Back Su Chiao-hui for New Taipei Mayor

New Taipei City mayoral candidate Su Chiao-hui has unveiled video endorsements from former President Tsai Ing-wen and Olympic boxing gold medalist Lin Yu-ting, signaling a push to broaden her support base. Su, representing the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), highlighted that these endorsements are part of a larger effort to share a "new generation's vision for New Taipei."

Responding to rival Lee Ssu-chuan's claim that all 4.04 million voters are his "big names," Su stated that her decade of dedication to New Taipei and Taiwan has allowed her to connect with many like-minded friends across different sectors. She mentioned recent discussions with author Yang Shuang-tzu on cultural industries and with Lin Yu-ting on grassroots sports, as well as dialogues with young fishermen about the future of the fishing economy.

Su indicated that more friends will publicly step forward through discussions and videos to articulate their shared vision for New Taipei. She expressed a desire for the city to become more vibrant, creative, and capable of harnessing collective wisdom. The campaign appears to be focusing on building a broad coalition of support by showcasing diverse voices and their aspirations for the city's future.
