TTU Police Intensify Probe into Alleged Intimidation of Doctor

The Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) Police are intensifying their investigation into the alleged intimidation of Dr. Icha, a doctor who died following an incident. The police emphasized that the case is being handled professionally, objectively, and transparently, relying on evidence and witness statements.

According to TTU Police Chief AKBP Eliana Papote, witness statements are still being collected to clarify the events involving three members of the TTU Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD).

Today, the process of taking statements from witnesses is still ongoing. Investigators continue to work to gather facts to shed light on this incident. The results of the witness examinations will be reported after the entire examination process is complete.

To support the investigation, police will interview witnesses who were on duty with the victim at the Emergency Department on the day of the incident. They are also coordinating with RS Leona to obtain Dr. Icha's medical and psychological records during her treatment. The police plan to question the three DPRD members to confirm the chronology and motives behind the alleged intimidation.

TTU Police are also consulting with criminal and psychological experts to determine if the alleged intimidation constitutes a criminal offense. "All actions are based on facts and applicable laws," stated the Police Chief. Alongside the investigation, police are maintaining public order and have approached the victim's family, urging them to trust the police investigation and refrain from retaliatory actions. Coordination is also underway with the TTU DPRD Chairman and the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) of TTU regarding the case.
