Tunisia to launch mobile app offering over 40 digital government services

Tunisia is rapidly advancing its digital transformation agenda, with 114 projects currently underway, many nearing completion. The government, led by Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, convened a ministerial council to review progress and highlight upcoming digital services designed to streamline administrative processes for citizens and businesses.

A significant development is the upcoming launch of the 'Khadamet' mobile application. This platform will provide access to more than 40 administrative services, utilizing digital identity verification and facilitating electronic payments through various methods, including bank cards, postal cards, and e-wallets. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in public services.

Prime Minister Zaafrani Zenzri underscored digital transformation as a strategic lever for national development, administrative and economic reform, and the fight against corruption. The government is focusing on projects that improve the business climate, such as the national investor platform and the digitization of company registry transactions. Additionally, services like remote passport renewal for Tunisians abroad and electronic tax stamps are being implemented to enhance convenience and reduce regional disparities.
