Turkey's Justice Minister meets family of late BBP leader Yazıcıoğlu, vows probe into 2009 crash

Turkey's Justice Minister, Akın Gürlek, met with Gülefer Yazıcıoğlu and Fatih Furkan Yazıcıoğlu, the wife and son of the late Grand Unity Party (BBP) founder Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu. The meeting took place at the ministry, focusing on the tragic helicopter crash in 2009 that claimed Yazıcıoğlu's life during local election campaign activities.

Minister Gürlek stated on social media that the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing its investigation into the incident. All aspects of the crash are being re-examined in detail, with no possibility, including links to the Fethullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), being overlooked. The ministry is committed to scrutinizing all evidence meticulously.

"We will follow the process closely until not a single point remains in the dark," Gürlek declared, vowing that those found responsible will be held accountable in court. The investigation aims to provide answers that the Yazıcıoğlu family has sought for years and to reveal the full truth behind the incident.

Minister Gürlek extended his condolences once again to Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and his colleagues who perished in the crash, praying for God's mercy and offering patience and fortitude to their families and the BBP community.
