Eskişehir Drug Bust Seizes Over 84,000 Synthetic Pills

Authorities in Eskişehir, Turkey, have successfully dismantled a drug trafficking operation, seizing a significant quantity of synthetic pills. The operation, conducted by gendarmerie teams, resulted in the confiscation of 84,227 synthetic pills that require a green prescription.

The incident occurred on August 5 in the Tepebaşı district. The Eskişehir Provincial Gendarmerie Command initiated an investigation after receiving intelligence that drug pills, sourced from Istanbul, were being transported into the city. Following the tip, law enforcement tracked a vehicle believed to be carrying the illicit substances.

During a search of the vehicle in Tepebaşı, the large cache of synthetic pills was discovered. Three individuals found in the car were apprehended by the gendarmerie. These suspects were subsequently brought before judicial authorities.

Following legal proceedings, the three suspects were arrested and charged with 'manufacturing and trading of narcotic or stimulant substances.' The operation highlights ongoing efforts by Turkish authorities to combat drug trafficking within the country.
