Turkey's National Volleyball Team Roster Set for Nations League Finals Against Canada

The Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team, known as the "Filenin Sultanları," has finalized its roster for the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) finals. The team secured its spot in the finals by finishing the regular season in fourth place, achieving a strong record of 9 wins and 3 losses.

Their journey in the final stage of the VNL will commence with a quarterfinal match against Canada. This crucial game is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at 11:00 AM Turkish time. The finals tournament will be held in Macau, a Special Administrative Region of China.

The announced squad features a blend of experienced and emerging talent across all positions. The setters include Cansu Özbay, Dilay Özdemir, and Elif Şahin. Melissa Vargas and Defne Başyolcu will lead the opposite hitters, while Hande Baladın, İlkin Aydın, Saliha Şahin, and Yaprak Erkek will compete as outside hitters.

The middle blocker positions will be covered by Berka Buse Özden, Deniz Uyanık, Sinead Jack Kısal, and Zehra Güneş. The libero roles will be filled by Eylül Akarçeşme Yatgın and Gizem Örge. This lineup aims to bring home the VNL title for Turkey.
