Turkey weather forecast for July 7, 2026: Heavy rain and strong winds expected in several regions

Turkey's Meteorological Service (MGM) has issued a detailed weather forecast for July 7, 2026, predicting a mix of conditions across the nation.

Southern, inner, and eastern regions are expected to experience partly cloudy to very cloudy skies. The inner parts of the Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean, northern and western parts of Eastern Anatolia, eastern Samsun, and Ordu, along with the Eastern Black Sea coast, will see intermittent showers and thunderstorms. Other areas are forecast to be mostly clear.

Locally heavy rainfall is anticipated in the coastal areas of Hatay and, from the afternoon, in the vicinity of Artvin, Erzurum, Kars, and Ardahan. Authorities have issued warnings for potential adverse effects such as sudden floods, waterlogging, lightning strikes, transportation disruptions, local hail, and strong winds accompanying the rain. Residents in these areas are advised to exercise caution.

Temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms nationwide. Winds will generally blow from the north in northern regions and from the south and southwest in southeastern areas, with light to moderate strength. However, strong winds, reaching 30-50 km/h, are predicted for the southwestern Marmara coast and the North Aegean coasts in the afternoon.
