Turkey Weather Report: June 14, 2026 Forecast Predicts Widespread Showers and Thunderstorms

Turkey's General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued its weather forecast for June 14, 2026, predicting a day of varied conditions across the nation. Most regions are expected to experience partly cloudy to very cloudy skies, accompanied by intermittent showers and thunderstorms.

The forecast highlights areas prone to heavier precipitation, including the inland parts of the Eastern Mediterranean, eastern sections of Central Anatolia, the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions, northern parts of Eastern Anatolia, and the Malatya province. Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of potential adverse effects such as flash floods, landslides, lightning, local hail, and strong winds during rainfall.

Temperature fluctuations are also anticipated. Western parts of the country are set to see a rise of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius, while eastern regions will experience a notable decrease of 5 to 7 degrees Celsius. Other areas are expected to remain largely unchanged. Winds will generally blow from the north, with lighter to moderate speeds, except in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia where winds will be from the south.

Specific regional forecasts include: Marmara experiencing partly cloudy skies with scattered showers in Kırklareli and Sakarya. The Aegean region will see partly cloudy skies with showers in Uşak, Afyonkarahisar, and Denizli. The Mediterranean region anticipates scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout, with locally heavy rainfall expected in the eastern inland areas during the afternoon.
