Turkish Parliament Elects Members to Vacant Commission Seats

The Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) has conducted elections to fill vacant seats within its specialized commissions. The general assembly convened to vote on members proposed by various political party groups, filling positions that had become available. Following the votes, representatives from the İYİ Party, the Republican People's Party (CHP), and the NEW Party were confirmed as new commission members.

Key appointments were made across several important committees. For the İYİ Party, Balıkesir Deputy Burak Dalgın was elected to a vacant seat on the Constitution Commission. The CHP saw its nominated deputies appointed to several bodies, including the Justice Commission, the Constitution Commission, and the EU Harmonization Commission, among others. Deputies were also selected for the Digital Platforms Commission and the Interior Commission.

Further elections were held for seats allocated to the NEW Party. These included appointments to the Human Rights Investigation Commission, the Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Affairs Commission, and the Public Works, Zoning, Transportation, and Tourism Commission. Additionally, members were chosen for the Environment Commission, the Security and Intelligence Commission, and the Health, Family, Labor, and Social Affairs Commission. All candidates proposed by the party groups were approved in the general assembly's votes.
