TV Program: Concert Honors Oto Pestner

Slovenian television will broadcast a special concert celebrating the 70th birthday of Oto Pestner, a pivotal figure in Slovenian popular music. The program, "Poletna noč: Oto Pestner 70 let," will air on TV SLO 1 on Friday, July 10th, at 8:00 PM.

The gala concert, held on Kongresni trg, pays tribute to Pestner's significant contributions as both a singer and a songwriter. He is credited with numerous hits in Slovenian popular music. The performance features prominent Slovenian vocal soloists performing a selection of Pestner's greatest songs. These renditions are accompanied by the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and Big Band, conducted by Patrik Greblo.

The concert will showcase Pestner's extensive musical catalog, including iconic songs such as "Trideset let," "Bisere imaš v očeh," "Vrača se pomlad," "Mati, bodiva prijatelja," "Šepet poletnih trav," "Vse je lepše, ker te ljubim," "Vrniva se na najino obalo," "Violina v mojem srcu," "Tvoje solze," and "Poštar zvoni samo dvakrat." The program concludes with "Poletna noč," a song by Elza Budau and Mojmir Sepe. The event will be hosted by Marjana Grčman and Boštjan Romih and has a runtime of 125 minutes. The broadcast is scheduled for 2026.
