Two Children Die in Gokseong Water Park Incident, Electrocution Suspected

Two young brothers tragically died after collapsing in a water play facility at a theme park in Gokseong, South Jeolla Province, on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 2:42 PM when the 10-year-old and 9-year-old siblings fell unconscious shortly after entering the water.

Emergency services received a report of the children collapsing and rushed them to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts, both boys were pronounced dead. The circumstances, including the children collapsing immediately upon entering the water, have led fire authorities to suspect electrocution as the cause of death.

Police have secured CCTV footage from the vicinity of the water facility and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the precise sequence of events and the exact cause of the fatal accident. The theme park has not yet released a statement regarding the incident.
