Two City Hall Drivers Allegedly Fight on Steps of Slatina Institution

An altercation between two employees of the Slatina City Hall, reportedly the mayor's driver and another driver from the institution, occurred on the steps outside the building on Thursday afternoon. The incident resulted in one of the drivers being taken to the Slatina hospital for medical attention.

Local police have confirmed they are investigating the situation. The spokesperson for the Olt County Police Inspectorate stated that officers were alerted to a "conflict situation in the vicinity of a public institution in the municipality of Slatina." One of the men involved was taken to the police station for questioning, while the other reported needing medical care.

The spokesperson for the Slatina City Hall declined to comment, stating the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the investigating authorities. This incident is not the first to occur at the Slatina City Hall this year. In June, a woman reportedly became verbally and physically aggressive towards a local police officer and a city hall employee after her issue was not resolved to her satisfaction. Previously, in May, an administrative dispute between the mayor and the city secretary led to a heated discussion, with the secretary alleging the mayor followed him into a restroom and pushed him, accusations the mayor denied, admitting only to a tense conversation.
