Two Drug Traffickers Arrested in Mersin Sent to Prison

Mersin police have arrested two individuals on charges of drug trafficking following an operation targeting street-level dealers. The operation, conducted under the coordination of the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was carried out by the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch.

During the operation, authorities apprehended three suspects. A significant quantity of narcotics and related paraphernalia were seized, including 152 grams of cocaine and 279 grams of alpha-methyl-phenethylamine. The police also confiscated 7 ecstasy pills, 2,565 units of synthetic pills, three precision scales, two firearms with 132 rounds of ammunition, and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be proceeds from illegal activities.

Following their detention and questioning at the police station, the suspects were brought before the court. A duty court ordered the arrest and imprisonment of two individuals, identified as Ş.A. and H.D., on charges of "Trafficking Narcotic Substances." The third suspect, F.A., was released pending trial under judicial control measures.
