Two friends killed in motorcycle crash in Temerloh

A tragic accident on the Kuala Lumpur-Kuantan road in Temerloh, Malaysia, claimed the lives of two 17-year-old friends, Muhammad Nazim Dzafran Mohd. Faizul and Muhammad Hafizuddin Abdullah. The students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) Chenor were on their way to refuel their motorcycle after an additional class was canceled.

The incident occurred around 8:20 PM on Kilometer 119 of the highway. Both teenagers sustained severe injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Muhammad Hafizuddin's father, Muhammad Faizal Mat Daud, 41, recounted that his son had left home around 6:30 PM, initially intending to pray Maghrib at the Chenor Mosque before attending his evening class. The class was later canceled, leading the friends to go for fuel.

Faizal mentioned that they were initially heading to Pekan Awah to refuel but somehow ended up in Temerloh, where the fatal accident took place. He learned about the tragedy through a phone call and expressed the profound difficulty of losing his eldest son, who was the family's hope and a role model for his three younger siblings. He described their last meeting that afternoon as heartbreakingly final.

Temerloh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Nasyim Bahron, stated that the accident involved the motorcycle ridden by the victims, a car, and a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). Preliminary investigations indicate the Yamaha LC135 motorcycle was traveling from Temerloh towards Chenor when the collision occurred. Police are continuing their investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash.
