Malaysian political leader, wife, child among four killed in tree-fall tragedy

A tragic accident in Bentong, Malaysia, claimed the lives of four individuals when a large tree toppled onto their vehicle. Among the deceased were Mohd. Radzi Rahimi, the 35-year-old head of Maran UMNO Youth, his 36-year-old wife Nuriani Mohammad Jafri, their five-year-old son Muhammad Rizz Hazim, and Nuriani's brother, Mohammad Nizam.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on a road leading to Janda Baik. The Ford Raptor SUV carrying the five victims was crushed by the falling tree, resulting in the immediate deaths of four occupants. Authorities are investigating the cause of the tree's collapse.

A five-year-old boy, believed to be the twin of the child who died, miraculously survived the ordeal with injuries. He was rushed to Bentong Hospital for medical attention. Police and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene shortly after receiving a report from the public. The bodies of the deceased were transported to Temerloh Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
