Two men gunned down in Siparia, latest in string of deadly shootings

Siparia, Trinidad and Tobago, was the scene of another deadly shooting on Saturday night, as two men were gunned down in the same community. This latest incident brings the total number of recent shooting deaths in the area to at least five within weeks.

The victims have been identified as 29-year-old Kwame Parris, known as "Six," of Coconut Alley, Siparia, and 25-year-old Teshawn Baptiste, also known as "Blackboy," of Lowkie Trace, Penal. Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots around 9 p.m. and discovered Parris unresponsive in front of his home. A second body, identified as Baptiste, was found nearby in a drain.

Crime scene investigators collected 21 spent 9mm shells and one live 5.56 round from the location. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are actively working to establish a motive for the killings and to determine if they are connected to other recent murders in Siparia.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in the ongoing investigation. Despite the recent spate of violence, no arrests have been made in connection with any of the murders.
