Two Motorcyclists Killed After Being Hit by Car in Putrajaya

Two motorcyclists died after being struck by a car in Putrajaya, Malaysia, on the evening of August 20. The fatal accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Persiaran Selatan, at Kilometer 9.

The victims, identified as Syazwan Zharif Abdul Karim, 30, and Mohd. Hilmi Tahar, 48, sustained severe injuries to their faces and heads and were pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest the car driver may have swerved from the middle lane into the left lane, colliding with the two motorcyclists.

Putrajaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Aidi Sham Mohamed stated that the bodies have been sent to the Forensic Department of Putrajaya Hospital for further examination. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which deals with causing death by dangerous or negligent driving.
