Tzenko wins javelin gold at Panhellenic Championships; Dragomirova takes silver

Elina Tzenko confirmed her favorite status by winning the gold medal in the javelin throw at the Panhellenic Athletics Championships. Her teammate Anastasia Dragomirova also delivered an excellent performance, securing the silver medal and completing a 1-2 finish for their club, Kentavros.

Tzenko, the European champion, demonstrated a strong upward trajectory in her performance, with consistent throws throughout the competition. Her best effort measured 57.74 meters, adding another national title to her collection. Dragomirova, primarily an heptathlete, achieved a new personal best of 50.79 meters, earning her the silver medal and highlighting her progress.

Both athletes concluded their participation in the national championships on a high note. They are now shifting their focus to the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham from August 10-16, where they aim to successfully represent Greece. The results in Volos serve as a highly encouraging sign for the upcoming major event, with Tzenko reaffirming her quality and Dragomirova continuing her ascent with a record-breaking performance.
