According to the official WAM news agency, ADNOC reported no injuries resulting from the attack. The company emphasized the critical need to protect seafarers and ensure freedom of navigation and maritime security. In response to the incident, UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash stated that the Gulf state would defend its "rights to freedom of navigation" in the Strait of Hormuz.
