UAE President’s visit sends powerful message of ‘unity’

The United Arab Emirates President's visit to Kuwait carries a powerful message of unity and solidarity, according to UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Matar Al Neyadi. The visit, which included a meeting with the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, is framed as support for Kuwait in the face of "brutal Iranian aggression."

The visit reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries – leaders and people, as well as the commitment to continue their consultations and coordination.

Ambassador Al Neyadi emphasized that the trip reflects the profound fraternal ties between the UAE and Kuwait, encompassing both leaders and citizens. He noted the commitment to continuous consultation and coordination on various issues, stating that Kuwait holds a special place in the hearts of the UAE's leadership and people. This visit, occurring at a significant time, highlights a shared destiny and a unified vision for regional challenges.

The ambassador revealed ongoing consultations and coordination between the UAE and Kuwait at multiple levels. He mentioned Bahrain's role in submitting draft resolutions against Iranian aggression to the UN Security Council, with which the UAE is coordinating. He also pointed to joint statements from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states denouncing Iran's actions.

Kuwait has a special place in the hearts of the leaders and people of the UAE, pointing out that such visit at this time underscores the shared destiny, exchange of vision and advice on various issues, and the continuous coordination between the two nations.

Al Neyadi expressed gratitude for the warm reception, noting it reflects mutual respect and affection. He recalled that the idea for the GCC originated in Kuwait with Emirati support. The UAE President's visit is the first by a leader to Kuwait since the escalation of Iranian aggression in the region. He stressed that security cooperation among GCC states is paramount, as any threat to one is a threat to all, reinforcing their unified stance on security, military, economic, and health matters.
