UBSI Launches BSI Explore 2023: Students to Serve and Inspire Communities

Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) has officially sent off hundreds of students for its BSI Explore 2023 program, an initiative focused on community service and national development. The ceremony, held at the UBSI campus in Kramat 98, Central Jakarta, marked the beginning of students' engagement in various village projects.

Under the theme "Inspiration to Build the Nation," BSI Explore 2023 embodies the university's commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly community service. The program is designed to cultivate students who are not only academically proficient but also socially conscious, adaptable, and possess strong leadership qualities. Prior to their deployment, students successfully navigated a rigorous selection process and received comprehensive training to ensure their readiness for the challenges ahead.

Ade Suryadi, the chief organizer of BSI Explore 2023, emphasized that the program is more than just a field trip; it's a transformative learning experience. He noted that over a thousand students initially applied, with only the most prepared making it through the selection and briefing stages. Suryadi urged the participants to uphold UBSI's reputation, make tangible contributions to the communities, and leverage their experiences to become more resilient individuals.

BSI Explore is not just about going down to the village, but it is a learning process that shapes students' character, leadership, and social awareness.

Students will be assigned to diverse regions, including coastal areas, mountains, and environmentally challenging locales. This exposure is intended to enhance their adaptability, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with local populations. To ensure smooth operations, the organizing committee has established monitoring systems, reporting mechanisms, and assigned Field Supervisors (DPL). Media partners will also document and disseminate the positive impacts of the students' service activities.

Beyond the core service projects, BSI Explore 2023 includes various competitions to recognize and reward student creativity, innovation, and the impact of their work. UBSI reiterates its dedication to providing learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom, offering a platform for students to grow and contribute meaningfully.
