Ukraine Launches Hundreds of Drones at Russia; Belgorod, Zaporizhzhia Regions Report Casualties

Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack across Russia, with Russian authorities reporting two fatalities in the Belgorod region near the Ukrainian border. Meanwhile, Moscow-installed officials in Ukraine's occupied Zaporizhzhia region claimed eight people, including two children, died and 14 were injured in an attack on "tourist camps" in the village of Kyrylivka.

Russia's Ministry of Defense stated that its air defense systems intercepted 328 drones over various regions, including areas near Moscow, as well as Bashkiria and Chuvashia. The governor of Belgorod, Aleksandr Shuvayev, confirmed the two deaths in his region.

In Yekaterinburg, in Russia's Ural Mountains, the online retailer Wildberries announced the evacuation of staff from a logistics center and a temporary suspension of its operations. The company stated the evacuation was timely and the facility sustained no damage. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously alleged that Wildberries depots, struck on Friday, supplied the Russian military with drone components, navigation equipment, and other military materials.

These incidents follow a day of intense cross-border attacks, which authorities claim resulted in 15 deaths in Ukraine and five in Russia. One attack attributed to Ukraine targeted an enterprise in the Kirov region, about 1,000 kilometers east of Moscow, which Kyiv identified as a "key military enterprise" of Russia.
