Ukraine reports over 260,000 Russian drones neutralized this year; July saw record enemy losses

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its forces have neutralized over 260,000 Russian drones since the beginning of the year. The ministry stated that all verified drone destruction incidents were logged within the DELTA combat system, an integrated digital battlefield management platform used by the Ukrainian army.

"The significant number of Russian drones neutralized on the front lines demonstrates the decisive role of technology in modern warfare," the ministry said. "Effective counter-drone measures help protect the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians."

Furthermore, the ministry reported that July marked a record high for Russian military losses in terms of both personnel and vehicles. According to their figures, Russian forces lost 42,860 personnel in July, the highest number of eliminated and severely wounded Russian soldiers since January 2025. The report did not provide specific loss figures for January of the previous year.

In addition to personnel losses, the ministry indicated that July also set a record for Russian vehicle losses, with nearly 14,000 vehicles destroyed. Specifically, Ukrainian forces reportedly destroyed 162 tanks, 204 armored fighting vehicles, and 2,016 artillery systems belonging to the Russian Federation during July.
