Ukraine says 1,540 Russian troops were eliminated on the battlefield in the past day

Ukraine says its forces eliminated or put out of action another 1,540 Russian troops over the past day, bringing Russia's reported personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion to about 1,497,980.

The figures came from Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff in a Facebook post. The military also reported that Russian forces had lost 12,332 tanks, 25,284 armored combat vehicles and 49,311 artillery systems since the invasion began.

Ukraine's tally includes 2,103 multiple rocket launchers, 1,609 air-defense systems, 441 military aircraft, 355 helicopters and 2,516 ground robotic systems. It also lists 502,717 unmanned aircraft and 5,070 cruise missiles among Russia's losses.

The reported total further includes 35 ships or boats, two submarines, 145,026 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 4,647 items of special equipment. The General Staff said the data on Russian losses are continually being updated.
