Ukraine Strikes Caspian Sea Supply Lines, Raising Russia-Iran War Risks

Ukraine has confirmed launching long-range drone attacks in the Caspian Sea, targeting vessels suspected of transporting Iranian military materials to Russia. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the successful strikes via the X platform on July 25, stating that the attacks achieved "very significant results," including hitting ships involved in Iranian military cargo shipments and a Russian warship. Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) further detailed that targets included a Russian oil field in the Caspian Sea, a Russian missile boat, and transport ships carrying Iranian-made drones to Russia.
