Ukrainian drones hit Russian refinery; impeachment sought for Trump

A Ukrainian drone attack on a refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region has sparked a fire and damaged at least 10 homes, with two fatalities and two injuries reported. The incident occurred in the village of Afipsky, home to the Afipska Oil Refinery, one of Russia's largest processing facilities. Debris from a drone also reportedly fell on a train station.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials reported that Russian aerial attacks on Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia claimed three lives. A Russian guided bomb struck the center of Zaporizhzhia, killing two people and damaging a residential building, while a missile attack on Kharkiv resulted in one fatality, according to city officials.

In the United States, Democratic Congressman Al Green has once again filed articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. Green alleges that Trump has betrayed his constitutional oath and abused his power through the operations of immigration services, specifically the ICE and CBP. He accuses these agencies of becoming "ruthless, quota-driven, unchecked paramilitary police forces" that have engaged in abuses, illegal searches, suppression of free speech, and excessive force.

The impeachment resolution lists four individuals who allegedly died in 2026 due to actions by ICE or Border Patrol officers. Green contends that these actions, which he believes are tolerated and even encouraged by the president, violate rights protected by the First, Fourth, Fifth, and 14th Amendments. This is not the first time Green has attempted to impeach Trump; previous efforts in 2025, related to alleged failures to consult Congress on U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, were rejected by the House of Representatives.
