Ukrainian Intelligence Alarms: North Korean Missile Unit Delivered to Russia

Ukraine's intelligence services have issued an alert regarding the deployment of a North Korean tactical ballistic missile unit to Russia, intended for use in attacks on Ukraine. This move is perceived as a strategic effort by Russia to exhaust Ukraine's inventory of interceptor missiles capable of downing ballistic projectiles by intensifying such assaults on Ukrainian infrastructure.

Given the approaching winter, attacks targeting Ukraine's already heavily damaged energy infrastructure are particularly concerning. Russia has been employing North Korean KN-23/KN-24 ballistic missiles against Ukraine since 2023. This development follows the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin in 2024, which includes a defense pact.
