Ummat Party Officials Attend National Justice Congress, Meet PM Anwar Ibrahim

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim hosted officials from Indonesia's Ummat Party at the 19th National Justice Congress in Melaka. Heikal Safar, the party's acting chairman, and Taufik Hidayat, its secretary-general, attended the event held from August 14-16, 2026, at the Melaka International Trade Centre. The congress, themed 'Restoring Reform, Building MADANI,' drew thousands of representatives and guests. Safar highlighted key agendas, including discussions led by 16 speakers on strategic issues like the economy, education, and public welfare. The event also featured the Bill Kayong Award, honoring five families for their contributions to the party, and a 'Karnival Rahmah Mega' aimed at bringing government services closer to the people through strategic cooperation with various agencies. Safar emphasized that these community-focused initiatives are crucial for public engagement.
