UN inquiry finds Israel deliberately targeted Palestinian children in Gaza

An independent United Nations inquiry has concluded that Israeli authorities and security forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children, committing acts that constitute genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel examined violations against Palestinian children since the conflict began on October 7, 2023. The report indicates that children comprised approximately 30% of those killed in Gaza during the war. This follows a September report by the same commission that found Israel had committed genocide in Gaza and that top officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, incited these acts. Israel's mission in Geneva has vehemently rejected the commission's latest report, labeling it "scandalous" and a "second defamatory advocacy report."
