Undip to Host ICOSEG 2026 on Sustainable Development

Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) in Semarang is set to host the International Conference on Sustainability, Equity, and Growth (ICOSEG) 2026 from June 3-4, 2026. The event aims to convene researchers and stakeholders globally to deliberate on sustainable development.

Suherman, head of Undip's Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), highlighted that ICOSEG 2026 seeks to strengthen global collaboration and promote research and innovation's role in sustainable development. He stressed the necessity of interdisciplinary, institutional, and international cooperation to create adaptive solutions with tangible societal impact.

Sustainable development, Suherman explained, encompasses environmental issues alongside social aspects, equitable governance, technological advancement, and economic resilience. The forum will bring together academics, researchers, practitioners, industry professionals, students, and policymakers from Indonesia and abroad. He emphasized universities' crucial role as centers for knowledge development and catalysts for impactful societal solutions.

Anang Wahyu Sejati, ICOSEG 2026 chair, added that the conference serves as a strategic platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and innovative collaboration to address global development challenges. He expressed hope that ICOSEG 2026 would foster learning and collaboration, contributing to a more sustainable future. The collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers is increasingly vital amidst concerns about sustainability, social equity, technological transformation, and environmental resilience. ICOSEG 2026 receives support from the Enhancing Quality Education for International University Impact and Recognition (EQUITY) program, funded by the Higher Education Endowment Fund (DAPT) from the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP).
