UNM Hosts Rektor Cup 2026, Bringing Universities Together Through Sportsmanship and Collaboration

Universitas Nusa Mandiri’s Rektor Cup 2026 turned a padel tournament into a meeting point for universities seeking closer ties beyond the classroom.

Held at Numa Padel on Jalan Raya Jatiwaringin in East Jakarta on Sept. 5, the event brought together participants from Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika, UNM, Institut Bisnis dan Komunikasi Swadaya, Politeknik Negeri Bandung, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Cyber University, BINUS and Universitas Budi Luhur.

We hope this year will be a good beginning. We will certainly look forward to welcoming you again next year, with more friends able to join us.

The players competed against one another on the court, but the event emphasized friendship and cooperation as much as the matches themselves. It gave academic communities a chance to communicate, build networks and meet in a relaxed and healthy setting.

We may face each other again on the court, but we continue to collaborate in the world of education.

UNM Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Dwiza Riana thanked the participating universities and said she hoped this year’s event would open the way to broader cooperation. “We hope this year will be a good beginning. We will certainly look forward to welcoming you again next year, with more friends able to join us,” she said.

Riana also highlighted the possibility of sharing sports facilities with nearby universities and communities. “We may face each other again on the court, but we continue to collaborate in the world of education,” she said. She invited universities to bring colleagues and students to use the facilities together, with the aim of advancing sports among students across institutions.
