UNM Secures National Grant for Digital Platform to Combat Toddler Stunting

Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), recognized as a Digital Business Campus, has secured a national grant for community service programs in 2026. Funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), this achievement underscores UNM's commitment to developing technological innovations with direct societal impact.

The grant supports an initiative led by Dr. Sukmawati Anggraeni Putri, focusing on 'Satu Klik Gizi' (One Click Nutrition). This digital technology is designed to assist community health cadres (kader PKK) in monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers. The platform aims to facilitate early intervention strategies to prevent stunting, a critical issue in Indonesia.

Through a user-friendly interface, the 'Satu Klik Gizi' platform is expected to enable health cadres to identify malnutrition risks more rapidly, accurately, and in an integrated manner. The initiative seeks to enhance the effectiveness of toddler health monitoring and bolster government programs aimed at reducing stunting rates across the nation.

Dr. Sukmawati Anggraeni Putri highlighted the role of digital technology in strengthening grassroots health services. "We want to provide digital solutions that are simple, easy to use, and offer tangible benefits to the community, especially in helping health cadres detect stunting risks in toddlers early on," she stated. The program also involves UNM lecturers and students, integrating academic learning with real-world community needs and fostering a greater sense of social responsibility.

Andi Saryoko, Head of UNM's Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), praised the faculty's success in obtaining competitive funding. He emphasized UNM's dedication to fostering research and service that leverages digital technology to improve public well-being and support sustainable national development. LPPM UNM will continue to encourage collaborations among academics, students, government, and the community to ensure that research outcomes translate into practical benefits.
