UNM Student Becomes Graphic Designer at Bank Mandiri Taspen Through Internship Program

Halimah Tussa'adiyah, an Information Technology student at Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), has defied expectations by securing an internship as a Graphic Designer at Bank Mandiri Taspen. This achievement highlights UNM's "Digital Business Campus" ability to cultivate versatile skills beyond traditional IT, extending into the creative and digital sectors.

From May 25 to August 24, 2026, Halimah contributed to the Funding Investment Product Division, creating visual assets such as flyers, banners, and social media content to support marketing and collaboration efforts. Her passion for design, sparked in high school through activities like painting and digital editing, provided a strong foundation for her current role.

"While I'm still young, why not try?" Halimah said, reflecting her motivation to seize opportunities and discover her potential. She learned about the internship through the Nusa Mandiri Career Center (NCC) and successfully navigated a rigorous selection process, including interviews, to secure her position.

I saw the internship vacancy information from the NCC group, then tried to apply. After going through the selection and interview process, I finally got the opportunity to intern at Bank Mandiri Taspen. This is a very valuable experience for me.

Beyond honing her design skills, Halimah gained valuable experience in professional work culture, teamwork, and understanding business processes within the banking industry. The Head of the Informatics Study Program at UNM, Arfhan Prasetyo, praised Halimah's adaptability and competitiveness, emphasizing that her success demonstrates the high caliber of Informatics students and their readiness for dynamic industry demands.
