Uruguay forecast for Tuesday: Variable cloud, fog and temperatures from 6C to 21C

Uruguay is expected to have a cool, changeable day on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, with fog and mist in several parts of the country and temperatures between 6C and 21C, according to the Uruguayan Meteorological Institute, Inumet.

The northwest should begin with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, periods of overcast weather, fog and mist. Winds will come from the southeast at 10 to 30 km/h. Skies should clear somewhat later, with a minimum of 9C and a maximum of 21C.

The northeast could see isolated showers during a cloudy and foggy morning. Winds from the south and southeast may reach gusts of 40 km/h. Conditions should become clearer in the afternoon and evening, with temperatures from 11C to 20C.

In the southwest, the center-south and the east, morning fog and mist will accompany partly cloudy or cloudy skies before clearer conditions develop later. Forecast highs range from 18C to 20C, while lows fall to 6C or 7C in some areas. Punta del Este will remain cooler, with temperatures between 10C and 13C.

Montevideo and the metropolitan area are expected to have cloudy and foggy conditions in the morning, with easterly winds of 10 to 30 km/h. The afternoon and evening should bring clearer skies, though periods of cloud, fog and mist will remain.
