US-Africa Trade Commission names Nigeria Country Director

The U.S.-Africa Trade Commission has appointed Dr. Fakunle John Aremu as its Country Director for Nigeria, marking a significant step in strengthening economic ties between the two nations. Aremu brings a wealth of experience to the role, boasting over 15 years in international trade, investment, and economic development across the African continent. His extensive background positions him to effectively engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies, diplomatic missions, investors, and businesses.

In his capacity as Country Director, Aremu will serve as the commission's representative throughout Nigeria. His responsibilities include promoting bilateral trade, tourism, innovation, and economic partnerships. He will also focus on identifying and facilitating investment opportunities, joint ventures, and public-private partnerships, aiming to drive measurable economic outcomes.
