US Military Claims Repelling Iranian Attacks in Persian Gulf

The U.S. military announced on Tuesday that it had "successfully repelled" several Iranian drone and missile attacks in the Persian Gulf. In a self-defense measure, U.S. forces also conducted strikes against an Iranian military control station located on Qeshm Island.

CENTCOM stated that Iran launched several ballistic missiles toward neighboring countries, but none reached their intended targets.

According to CENTCOM, two Iranian missiles fired toward Kuwait disintegrated en route or broke up during flight. Additionally, three missiles launched toward Bahrain were immediately neutralized by U.S. and Bahraini air defense systems. Kuwait's military confirmed its air defense forces were defending against "hostile" missile and drone attacks.
